|
|
Mr. Pitto formed SIMEON in 1984. Since SIMEON's founding, Mr. Pitto has
successfully deployed over $1.5B of institutional capital across a broad
spectrum of real estate assets. Under his leadership, SIMEON has developed
over 4M SF of office, bio-tech, retail, and R&D projects.
SIMEON's Principals have master planned and developed numerous communities
consisting of 11,500 finished lots and is currently developing 2 high-rise
multifamily projects, one in San Francisco and the other in Silicon Valley.
Over the years Mr. Pitto has cultivated strong institutional capital
relationships, both on the equity and debt side. He was one of the earliest
pioneers of merchant build, development venture structures commonly used in
the real estate private equity world today. Mr. Pitto has worked tirelessly
in firmly establishing SIMEON as one of the premier private real estate
development and investment firms in Northern California. Prior to SIMEON,
Mr. Pitto practiced law in San Jose for 13 years and was one of the founding
partners of Humphreys, Berger and Pitto, a firm dedicated to business,
commercial, and real estate law.
Mr. Pitto currently serves as a Trustee for the University of San Francisco
and is the Vice Chair of the Facilities and Planning Committee. He also sits
on the Academic Affairs Committee. Most recently, Mr. Pitto served on the
Board of Mercy Housing of California for 10 years, the last 4 years as its
Chairman. Mr. Pitto also served on the Advisory Board of Institute of
International Education. Mr. Pitto is an active member of Urban Land
Institute. J. Russell Pitto received a B.A. from the University of San
Francisco and a J.D. from Golden Gate University of Law.

MIKE KIM, Chief Investment Officer
|
|
Mr. Kim joined SIMEON in 2008 bringing with him high density residential,
mixed-use development experience. Mr. Kim began his real estate development
career with Pulte Homes (NYSE:PHM), working with their Urban Group where he
performed acquisition, entitlement and land development work. After Pulte,
Mr. Kim joined BRE Properties (NYSE:BRE) in San Francisco as the firms
Director of Acquisitions where he was responsible for sourcing, negotiating,
underwriting and developing mixed-use projects in the San Francisco Bay Area
and Seattle Metro regions. While at BRE, Mr. Kim contributed significantly
to the firms $2B+ development pipeline which stands among the largest in
the industry. At SIMEON, he is currently overseeing $250M multi-family
development pipeline. Prior to his career in real estate, Mr. Kim served
the nation as a Naval Officer for 7 years leading maritime missions and
expeditions in Europe, Middle East, South America, and the Far East.
Mr. Kim currently serves on a TOD urban planning committee and Chairs the
3rd District U.S. Naval Academy Congressional Nomination Board. Most recently
Mr. Kim served on the board of NAIOP San Francisco. Mr. Kim received his B.S.
in Political Science with concentration in General Engineering from the U.S.
Naval Academy at Annapolis and his Master's Degree in Planning and Development
from the University of Southern California.

CURT SETZER, Principal
|
|
Mr. Setzer first joined SIMEON in 1997 and is a 30 year veteran of the
commercial real estate industry. Mr. Setzer brings a broad spectrum of experience
and his responsibilities at SIMEON include acquisition, disposition, leasing,
and asset management of commercial properties. Mr. Setzer began his real estate
career as an office leasing broker with Cushman & Wakefield. After Cushman &
Wakefield, he spent the next decade developing, leasing and asset managing office
and industrial properties for Bedford Properties and Paragon Group in Northern
California and San Diego. Subsequently, Mr. Setzer became Senior Vice President
at Maier Siebel Baber where he directed all acquisitions, dispositions and
financings for all office properties owned and/or managed by Maier Siebel Baber
throughout the Western United States. During this time, he was additionally
responsible for the asset management division of the firm overseeing a multi-state
office portfolio of approximately 30 buildings totaling more than 4M SF.
Mr. Setzer received his B.A from the University of California at Berkeley with
concentration in Business Administration and Political Science.

MIKE WALSH, Vice President, Construction & Development
|
|
Mr. Walsh joined SIMEON in 2012 to oversee the firm's Construction and Development
work. His construction and real estate development experience spans over 40 years.
At SIMEON he is overseeing the building of a 630,000 SF, 347 Unit, 21 Story Apartment
Tower in San Jose; a 145,000 SF, 74 Unit, 9 Story, Condo Building in San Francisco,
and a Multi-Tenant Retail Center in Hayward. Prior to joining SIMEON, Mr. Walsh was
Director of Development with AGI Capital/Avant Housing and responsible for the
development of 1,100 multi-family units in San Francisco and 400,000 SF self-storage
projects throughout the Bay Area. Mr. Walsh started his career after college
constructing Nuclear Power Plants and Hydroelectric Dams. He was the Project Manager
for several hospital and bio-tech buildings, most notably a major hospital in San
Jose and the Heart Research Facility at Stanford University. He owned and ran a
General Contracting company in Silicon Valley, Walsh Construction, for 18 years
constructing retail centers, office buildings, education and medical facilities.
Mr. Walsh received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Santa
Clara. He is licensed in the State of California in Civil Engineering, Construction
and Real Estate.

DEBRA BRIGGS, CFO/Controller
|
|
Ms. Briggs joined SIMEON in 1988 and brings 35 years of comprehensive expertise
in development, construction and property management accounting. Ms. Briggs and
her staff oversee all of SIMEON's accounting, institutional/investment reporting,
banking, entity formations and consolidations, loan processing, corporate budget,
audit and tax management functions. Additionally, Ms. Briggs manages a team of
third party CPAs, lenders, title companies, and legal associates for purchase,
sale and refinance of all of SIMEON's projects. Prior to joining SIMEON, Ms. Briggs
worked for 10 years as an Accounting Manager for a San Francisco based commercial
general contractor/developer. Before that she held accounting and finance positions
for subcontractor companies in San Francisco.
Ms. Briggs received her B.A. Management from California State University, Chico.
She completed graduate level courses in finance and accounting from Golden Gate
University in San Francisco in addition to various CPE accredited courses and
certifications. Ms. Briggs has been a registered California Notary Public since 1993.

BARBARA MONDANI WELLS, Vice President, Property Management
|
|
Ms. Wells joined SIMEON in 1997 and has over 30 years of property management
experience in Northern California. At SIMEON, Ms. Wells and her staff has property
managed various office, life science, R&D/Flex and retail portfolios totaling over
3M SF, including 633,000 SF in Marin County. Additionally,
Ms. Wells has extensive experience in budgeting, tenant improvement, risk management,
leasing, operating expense management and tenant relations. Prior to joining SIMEON,
Ms. Wells worked for Insignia Commercial Group, Inc., where she was responsible
for all aspects of property management for various institutions such as Archon
Group, Metropolitan Life, and PM Realty Advisors totaling over 450,000 SF.
Before joining Insignia, Ms. Wells managed multiple office properties in San Mateo
for Prometheus Real Estate Group.
Ms. Wells attended California State University, Sacramento and holds the RPA designation.
